PLEASE BE AWARE:
We are not just about the technicalities of building a house or doing a remodel or repair, we are about you, helping you, caring about you and making sure your project whether its big or small ends up being what you want and what you can afford.
It is about you having a pleasant time of it both when you are designing your project and when it is underway and part of your daily life. Its about you being aware of the strengths and pitfalls of dealing with contractors.
The relationship between the contractor and the customer is always adversarial. Make no mistake, you may like your contractor and think his kids are cute but hear me and hear me good; every contractor is a very practical psychologist and you are his “patient”.
Most contractors want to do a good job but rest assured he is going to use every bit of his hard knocks psychological training to manipulate you into doing things his way and not yours.
He may cut corners, leave you hanging, not finish on time and charge you for all kinds of “extras” you never counted on needing.
The average contractor has an arsenal of excuses for any and everything he does and doesn’t do and they are all ready for you at a moments notice. The contractor knows you are desperate to have your house back to normal rather than covered with drywall dust and construction workers.
Remember it's you that is ultimately responsible for your home and what goes on with it. The contractor is working for you; you are the boss not him.
We give you the insight you need to protect yourself and get what you want without being a slave to your contractor or your project.
